Over 4000 Pacific Coast Banana (Wax Tip - Red, Blue and Green) customers in New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia have been surveyed. Over 86% have indicated that they buy Pacific Coast Eco 'Wax Tip' bananas because they know what they are buying. The taste, size and quality being consistent with the product brand identification of Pacific Coast Eco-Bananas.

Tastes Sweeter - because the fruit is not fed with more fertiliser for greater bunch size and production outputs, but with the minimum amount to produce a bunch. The Pacific Coast Eco-Bananas' texture is moist, firm and sweeter.

Bananas are a good source of Potassium, Vitamin C and fibre. Bananas are fat free.

Ongoing research and development is being carried out to monitor and measure flavour as an indicator of success of the Pacific Coast Eco-Banana production protocols.

Pacific Coast Eco-Bananas are Australian owned and grown. Pacific Coast Eco-Bananas' clean and green image will provide an opportunity for growers to export. The fruit is grown with significantly reduced inputs of fertiliser and chemical.

This has improved soil fertility and also been a key factor in successful implementation of Integrated Ecological Management (a system that allows beneficial insects to perform their role in the eco system) and conservation farming practices.
