Your
most common questions and our response.
Q1
What does the Waxed tip (do, mean, stand for)?
Response:
The wax tip is our trademark or brand to identify our product (Pacific
Coast Eco Bananas) and its eco growing protocol.
Q2
Are there any differences in the colours?
Response:
There is no difference in colour. Personal Choice. The wax tip
identifies a Pacific Coast Eco banana.
Q3 What does Eco Mean?
Response:
Farming in a manner that will improve the environment its eco system
and the soil. This is achieved through conservation methods
of farming and significantly reducing fertiliser and chemical
use. We use no nematicides, insecticides or
miticides on the soil. Herbicide and fungicide is significantly
reduced. A wide range of insect species life cycles are monitored
as indicators of a sustaining eco system. Fertiliser use is
kept to a minimum using only what is required to produce a
bunch. A more naturally grown banana.
Q4
Are they Organic
Reponse:
No. The eco growing protocol is different. Examples were given
of nil use of product under the Pacific Coast Eco growing protocol
in comparison to being able to choose from approved products.
