Ecoganic\u00ae is a certification program developed by farmers for farmers. We understand what it’s like to run a farming business and the problems that farmers currently face in day to day operations.<\/p>\n

Ecoganic\u00ae farming is an ecological production and management system\u00a0that enhances biodiversity, biological cycles and activity, and ecosystem balance through reduced farming inputs that are continuously monitored.<\/p>\n

We “farm with nature” and respect the importance of the environment – we have proven that the natural ecosystem can assist us to grow sustainably, which is better for the environment, the farmers and the consumers.<\/p>\n

We acknowledge that there are many claims being made in the market place around organic growing and its benefits. Unfortunately, few can prove their claims.<\/p>\n

Ecoganic\u00ae certification allows our growers to prove their claims in the market place, as soil samples are regularly gathered, tested and verified by independent agencies. The level of biodiversity, soil health, biological activity and key species indicators, allow us to verify our claims that our growers do not rely on synthetic or organic chemicals to manipulate or fight nature.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\"Ecoganic\u00ae<\/a>Ecoganic\u00ae\u00a0Marketing<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Ecoganic\u00ae certification is a unique product differentiator – it will allow your produce to command premium shelf placement and price. Our stringent certification process and independent verification allows our growers to\u00a0prove their claims in the marketplace about environmental impact, management and sustainable production.<\/p>\n

The demand for Ecoganic\u00ae produce is growing and we already see many of our growers taking advantage of green marketing opportunities. Our member growers are able to make and substantiate claims of environmental protection, the elimination of many known chemicals from their growing system and minimal impact on nearby waterways. Ecoganic\u00ae follows the internationally recognised ISO 14024 standards\u00a0for green labelling which is recognised by the ACCC and all our produce bears the distinctive, patented wax tip. The wax tip signals to the customer that this produce has been grown in insecticide and miticide free soil, with minimal impact on the natural habitat.<\/p>\n

Protecting The Environment and Consumer<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Our certification program was designed to protect the environment and promote sustainable growing practices that are good for the environment and good for both growers and customers.<\/p>\n

This is achieved by the implementation of certified systems which are audited and verified through AUS-QUAL accreditation. Once certified, our member growers can market their products as 100% Ecoganic\u00ae certified – which allows for premium placement in the market place and can also open the door to international marketing opportunities.<\/p>\n

Ecoganic\u00ae Certification<\/strong><\/h3>\n

There are two processes required in order to become certified Ecoganic\u00ae. The first step is to develop and implement an environmental management system (EMS) to the internationally recognised ISO 14001 standard. This is an international standard for environmental management and is the transitional phase to becoming Ecoganic\u00ae certified. This can take up to 12 months and we will work with you to provide guidance, support and advice to achieve this.<\/p>\n

Once your EMS has been developed, then the second (and final) step, is the development and implementation of the Ecoganic\u00ae production standard to meet our stringent requirements.\u00a0We will work with you to achieve this step as the standard is custom-tailored to your industry.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
