Farming
the way nature intended has changed the way we grow bananas. Our Eco
Growing Protocol significantly reduces the inputs
of agrichemicals and synthetic fertilisers. Farming techniques
allow us to improve soil biology. Top soil is basically
a non-renewable resource and once poisoned and destroyed
can take hundreds of years to renew itself if left undisturbed.

Waste: We
have implemented systems to reduce, recycle or reuse waste
resources. Waste disposal is in line with best practice
to protect the environment.
Water: Water
is used efficiently through drip systems, minimising runoff
and protecting water
quality.
Ecosystems: Our
farm is evidence of a healthy ecosystem. Healthy number
of animals, insects and reptiles live in our farming environment.
When our packing shed is in operation, frogs that come
on our bunches are collected and returned to the paddock.
(Frog numbers are monitored)
Integrated
Ecological Management: Integrated Ecological Management
is a critical control in our farming system. It is about
increasing our ecological capital, not consuming it.
Our
People: We value providing a safe environment where
employees work co-operatively as a team to achieve mutual
job success. We value self-motivation to develop and
learn new skills.
Integrity: We value openness, honesty,
fairness and respect for people in all we do
