Jack
Hasenpusch and Frank Sciacca with the insect
representative collection from Sciacca's farm
|
Over
the past years extensive research work has been carried
out to identify insect species that have come back
to the farm eco system following the withdrawl of
any insecticide and nematicide use on the soil.
Insect identification,
life cycle and habitat characteristics are very important
in the role of biological control of pests in the eco
system. To date over 200 species have been identified.
The following
list is an example of some of the species that can
be found on the farm.
